Redbird Strength and Conditioning The goal of Redbird strength and conditioning is easy to describe: getting student-athletes from all sports physically prepared for peak performance. The journey for each student-athlete is much more specialized, as head strength and conditioning coach Jim Lathrop and his staff design specific programs to help address specific needs. With proven methods and exciting new resources available, Redbird strength and conditioning is commited to: • Creating individualized programs to enhance physical preparation of student-athletes in all 19 sports with sport- specific, position-specific plans focused on individual needs. • Developing an energetic atmosphere in which all student-athletes can strive to meet goals to enhance individual performance and contribute to team championships. • Utilizing the spacious, high- tech, 9,200-square foot Richard and Fran Owen Strength and Conditioning Center. • Maintaining high standards of accountability, responsibility and intensity during training so student-athletes and staff can realize their maximum potential. 2012 Redbird Soccer 53
