Water usage was not normalized for weather. As shown in the figure below, Alpine Bank's water usage had increased annually between 2012 and 2014; however, between 2014 and 2015, Alpine Bank experienced an 8 percent decrease in water usage. This decrease can mostly be attributed to the water-efficiency measures at the following locations: Glenwood Springs, Downtown Grand Junction, Snowmass Village, Avon and Basalt. June – Snowmass Village's Environmental Advisory Board honored Alpine Bank with its third annual Business Sustainability Award. August – Independent Community Bankers of America ® selected Alpine Bank as the Grand National Award winner for our Community Solar Garden program and commitment to providing environmentally sustainable energy for low-income families. September – Alpine Bank Ridgway achieved Green Business Certification through EcoAction Partners. October – Alpine Bank received the 24-Karat Gold Award, which was presented by Gov. Hickenlooper on behalf of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Environmental Leadership Program. November – Recognized by the Summit Foundation, Alpine Bank received the Community Collaboration Award at the 26th annual Celebration of Summit County Philanthropy Awards. November – Alpine Bank Dillon certified as a Silver level, Dillon Energy Smart business through the High Country Conservation Center.
