An understatement considering where they ended up. UW advanced to its first-ever NCAA Women's Final Four last year, after placing fifth in the Pac-12. • Head coach Mike Neighbors returns most of the components from last season, losing just two letterwinners. At the top of the list of returnees is senior Kelsey Plum, the Huskies' first All-American in 15 years. A prolific scorer, she is on pace to break the Pac-12 all-time scoring record after scoring nearly 1,000 points in her junior year alone. Plum has averaged over 20.0 ppg every season at UW, but most impressively is her ability to get to the free throw line, already having decisively broken the league's mark for most career free throws made with another year to go. She is also a national player of the year candidate. • Senior Chantel Osahor had a coming-out part, of sorts, during the NCAA Tournament last year. Many took notice of not only rebounding ability which saw her average over 10.0 rpg, but also her fearlessness from long-range that can put a game away or stop a run. Though her talents were no secret to her teammates. • With her height, redshirt senior Katie Collier has become an imposing figure in the paint as one of the top shot blockers in the Conference. • The Huskies welcome back guard Brianna Ruiz, who was injured in mid-January last year and was out for the rest of the season. Ruiz is another offensive threat, having improved her all-around game last season. But time will tell how she bounces back from injury. • The Huskies lost a key component to the team in Talia Walton who was a big reason UW reached the Final Four. But experience and the addition of five newcomers should help make up for that. Year School Overall Conf.
