59 2015-16 PAC-12 YEAR IN REVIEW SOFTBALL UCLA ended its postseason run in the double-elimination round of the 2016 Women's College World Series. The Bruins made its 27th all-time appearance in the WCWS. Eight league teams earned berths to the NCAA Tournament, marking the 20th-straight season that the Pac-12 has had five or more teams advance to the postseason. The Ducks claimed the 2016 regular-season title for their fourth-consecutive title. After capturing the league title at home, the four crowns made Oregon's senior class the winningest class in program history. UTAH's Hannah Flippen was honored as Pac-12 Player of the Year, for the first accolade in Ute history. Oregon's Cheridan Hawkins had a repeat performance as Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year. Fellow Duck Janelle Lindvall was named Defensive Player of the Year, and Taran Alvelo (Washington) and Megan Kleist (Oregon) were honored as Co-Freshman/Newcomer of the Year. Oregon head coach Mike White earned Coach of the Year.
