147 W hat are some of the things you are most proud of during the past four years as a Hawkeye? "I'm proud that we were able to move the program in the right direction as a team. Amidst all our team achievements, we have individual achievements that guys should be proud of. Being ranked consistently and having opportunities to play the best teams in the country is something to be proud of." How do you want Hawkeye fans to remember you? "I want to be remembered as someone who came to Iowa and helped spark the program to reach new heights. We have worked hard to do that and I'm excited to see what the Hawkeyes do in the future." What's next for you following graduation? "I currently have a passion for real estate. I would love to go somewhere warm and work on my license and still stay involved in the tennis community." What do you like to do for fun away from tennis? "I have a great time hanging out with the team. We are always together and all the guys get along well. We do barbecues, movies, and other things, which is something that I will miss when I am not on the team anymore." What was it like being an officer on the University of Iowa Athlete Advisory Committee? "It was a great opportunity to be able to have a voice and be a leader for our student-athletes. Our athletic department is superb with helping student athletes and to get to see that part of the process was something I enjoyed." How comforting was it having your grandparents, who live in Illinois, at most of your home meets throughout your career? "It was great. ey are huge Hawkeye tennis supporters and I have enjoyed being able to have them at all the meets. ey have always encouraged my tennis from the start and it was awesome to have them at all my college matches in Iowa." With the addition of Play Sight cameras at the HTRC, will you be watching future Hawkeye matches online? "Absolutely. I will always be a die-hard Hawkeye fan, especially for tennis. I am looking forward to watching the program reach new heights and achieve goals that we can continue to break year aer year." You were a major part of the tennis team's resurgence. Are you confident the team will continue to make strides in years to come? "I know for a fact that Iowa tennis is going to be a threat in the Big Ten Conference soon. Everyone buys into the coaching and trusts one another and aer being able to do that consistently for a couple years, great things can start to happen." What is something few people know about you? "Something not a lot of people know about me is I enjoy cooking. (Junior teammate) Nils (Hallestrand) and I always jaw at each other on who can make the better food, but I think deep down we both know that I take the trophy." Has the University of Iowa prepared you for life aer graduation? "I came to Iowa immature and clueless about the world and now I have a good grasp on my future goals and where I want to be. e professors, coaches, teammates, and athletic deportment taught me everything that I need to know and now I have to go out in the world and apply it."
