The 2016 season may see a reversal of roles as the pitching staff welcomes new talent while the offense graduates four of its top five hitters in the 2015 batting order. The Wildcats had one of the nation's best offenses a season ago, finishing fourth in home runs (104), fifth in batting average (.351), sixth in slugging percentage (.603), seventh in runs/game (7.56) and seventh in on-base percentage (.446). However, through graduation and transfers, the Cats will need to replace 53 percent of its hits from 2015, 58 percent of its home runs and 58 percent of its RBI. UA hit 104 home runs in 2015, marking the sixth time in school history Arizona has crossed the century mark in home runs. One only other school (UTSA) has more than two seasons of 100-plus homers ARIZONA WILDCATS DATE OPPONENT RESULT Feb 6 OKLAHOMA STATE W, 12-2 Feb 7 OKLAHOMA STATE W, 5-0 Feb 8 OKLAHOMA STATE W, 4-3 (8) Feb 12 DRAKE W, 6-1 Feb 13 LOYOLA MARYMOUNT W, 10-1 Feb 13 WRIGHT STATE W, 22-1 Feb 14 SAN JOSE STATE W, 9-1 Feb 14 LOYOLA CHICAGO W, 6-2 Feb 15 DRAKE W, 8-0 Feb 19 vs #11 Kentucky L, 2-5 Feb 19 vs #3 Oklahoma W, 5-4 Feb 20 vs #14 LSU L, 3-4 Feb 20 vs Northwestern W, 7-6 Feb 21 vs #18 Missouri L, 2-3 Feb 27 COLORADO STATE W, 6-3 Feb 27 UTEP W, 9-1 Feb 28 UC RIVERSIDE W, 10-2 Feb 28 UT ARLINGTON W, 10-2 Mar 1 BRYANT W, 6-5 Mar 1 BRYANT W, 18-1 Mar 4 UNLV W, 8-3 Mar 4 UNLV W, 16-6 Mar 6 vs #1 Florida L, 0-10 DATE OPPONENT RESULT Mar 6 vs #14 Auburn L, 2-20 Mar 7 vs Long Beach State W, 2-1 Mar 8 vs #9 Baylor L, 1-9 Mar 8 vs Fresno State W, 7-1 Mar 13 at #11 California * W, 9-2 Mar 14 at #11 California * L, 4-7 Mar 15 at #11 California * W, 4-3 Mar 18 vs Connecticut W, 12-0 Mar 18 at San Diego State W, 6-1 Mar 21 at New Mexico State W, 14-2 Mar 21 at New Mexico State W, 11-6 (8) Mar 27 #21 ARIZONA STATE * L, 5-8 Mar 28 #21 ARIZONA STATE * L, 4-9 Mar 29 #21 ARIZONA STATE * W, 11-1 Apr 2 at Oregon State * W, 9-3 Apr 4 at Oregon State * W, 7-2 Apr 4 at Oregon State * W, 22-3 Apr 10 #18 WASHINGTON * W, 14-6 Apr 11 #18 WASHINGTON * L, 8-9 Apr 12 #18 WASHINGTON * W, 18-10 Apr 17 at Utah * L, 7-10 Apr 18 at Utah * W, 8-6 Apr 19 at Utah * L, 2-4 DATE OPPONENT RESULT Apr 24 STANFORD * W, 11-0 Apr 25 STANFORD * W, 10-2 Apr 26 STANFORD * W, 22-5 May 1 at #7 UCLA * L, 1-9 May 2 at #7 UCLA * L, 3-6 May 3 at at #7 UCLA * L, 7-15 May 7 #1 OREGON * L, 0-3 May 8 #1 OREGON * W, 6-4 May 9 #1 OREGON * L, 7-15 May 15 ST.
