From 1970‐85, football champions were crowned in Group A, AA and AAA and in 1986 the VHSL expanded the football playoffs to a six‐divi‐ sion classifica7on format. Altavista, Glenvar, Magna Vista, Lake Taylor, L.C. Bird and Ocean Lakes claimed VHSL football cham‐ pionships in 2014.
