SOFTBALL The Badgers scored seven unerned runs in their 12-4 home-opening win over Northwestern on Saturday. The Wildcats committed five errors in the loss and a total of six in the three-game series. Wisconsin was spotless in the field, com- mitting zero errors in the three games.

MEN'S BASKETBALL After a second-consecutive Sweet 16 appearance, the Bad- gers finished the season ranked No. 12 in the final ESPN/USA Today coach- es' poll. It is the highest UW has finished in the rankings since the 2007-08 season, when they were No. 10 in the year-end poll.
5 MEN'S ROWING
Wisconsin's varsity eight boat is ranked No. 5 in the first USRowing coaches poll of the season. It is the highest preseason ranking the Badgers have earned since 2009, when they were second. The Badgers' top boat finished last season at No. 6 in the poll.
