Over the last 26 seasons under head coach Lesley Sheehan, the Boston University women's tennis program has established a tradition of success. Taking over the program in 1985, Sheehan has guided the Terriers to 22 America East Championships, including the last 18. She has also earned 13 straight NCAA tournament berths with teams receiving an ITA ranking on an annual basis.
