"My all-time role model that I look up to is (Michael) Jordan, because he's the greatest basketball player of all time, but right now it'd have to be Kobe (Bryant). Just because of the way he approaches the game every day, going out there trying to win and always studying the game. He has that winning mentality."

"My role model in sports is Chris Carter. He was a great receiver for Ohio State and the Minnesota Vikings. Off the field he was a mentor to as many youth as he could be and used his position in sports to do good things off the field. I have a lot of respect for him."

"I think of my grandpa, Jerry Berner. He played both baseball and football — with leather helmets — in college. He was then offered to try out for the New York Yankees in Florida, but couldn't afford the trip. Instead of becoming a professional athlete, he decided to teach and inspire others with his love for sports. He will forever be my role model because of his passion and love for every game and the people he has inspired and helped throughout his life."
