Despite doubling their win total from 2013-14, the Wildcats still finished last in the league. • Arizona will be without the likes of leading scorer and honorable mention All-Pac-12 pick Candice Warthen. Butts will look to upperclassmen guards Malena Washington and Keyahndra Cannon, as well as honorable mention All-Pac-12 guard LaBrittney Jones to help fill the loss of Warthen. Th trio started the majority of the games last year. • Jones was the team's leading rebounder and the second-leadin scorer and looks to fill that role again. • Arizona placed last in the league rankings in field goal percentage at 36.5 percent and assists, averaging 9.9 per game. New faces will look to improve on that mark, after Warthen accounted for almost 400 field goal attempts last season. • Arizona will be an inexperienced team with eight rostered players with two seasons of collegiate play under their belt or less. The young Wildcats will need to learn quickly if they are going to improve upon last year's performance. • The injury bug has been detrimental to the Wildcats the last several years, taking out key players for entire seasons. In addition to incorporating the young squad, the Wildcats will need to remain healthy, as well. • Speaking of injuries, highly-touted recruit Taryn Griffey will look to make her first appearance on the court this year after missing last season due to injury.
