The women's hockey team broke or tied 18 different NCAA records on its way to a second- consecutive national championship. The Badgers defeated Minnesota Duluth 4-1 in the na- tional championship game.

March 15, 2002 FIRST FOUR: Seniors Travon Davis and Charlie Wills became the first UW players to appear in four NCAA tournaments as the Badgers defeated St. John's, 80-70, at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. Wisconsin fell to eventual national champion Maryland, 87-57, two days later.
March 16, 1991 UNTOUCHABLE: Matt Demaray capped the third undefeated season (42-0) in school history with a 4-3 win over Steve Hamilton of Iowa State in the NCAA wrestling champi- onship final at 150 pounds.
March 17, 1973 KINGS OF THE ICE: Wisconsin defeated Denver, 4-2, to win the first NCAA hockey championship in school history
