T H I S I S B U s o f t b a l l AMERICA EAST ELITE The Terriers have compiled a 99-37 league record (.728 winning percentage) in the last seven years under head coach Shawn Rychcik and earned back-to-back conference tournament championships and NCAA regional appearances in 2009 and 2010. In the past seven seasons, the Terriers have collected four Player of the Year Awards, four Rookie of the Year Awards and three Pitcher of the Year Awards. BU has also led the conference in batting average and runs scored the past two seasons. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT The team is active in the community, volunteering at SAAC events such as the annual Holiday Reading Program, the Women's Lunch Place, Special Olympics, Susan G Komen Race for a Cure, Making Strides for Breast Cancer, College for Every Student, Athletes for Autism and the Teddy Bear Toss. Senior Erica Casacci is serving as the 2011-12 SAAC President. NATIONAL RECOGNITION April Setterlund (2008-11) demonstrated the success a player at BU could have at the national level during her storied four-year career. As the Terriers' first Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-America First Team honoree, Setterlund ranked in the top 10 in the nation in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and runs per game during her junior campaign. She was the 11th player in league history to receive America East All-Conference First Team honors all four years of her career while also winning back-to-back Player of the Year awards in 2010 and 2011. 2012 ROSTER 2012 SCHEDULE HEAD COACH SHAWN RYCHCIK The all-time winningest head coach in program history, Shawn Rychcik owns a 230-143-1 overall record at BU. He was named the 2011 America East Coach of the Year for the second straight season and third time overall during his tenure. Rychcik has turned the Terriers into an annual contender in the America East, as he guided BU to back-to-back league championships and NCAA appearances in 2009 and 2010. Rychcik played the game for 23 years on some of the best men's fastpitch softball teams in the world and was inducted into the International Softball Congress (ISC) Hall of Fame in 2012.
