STADIUM TO BE LOCATED NEXT TO THE RECENTLY EXPANDED WILLIAMS STADIUM. View from the North The 2012 season will be Liberty baseball's last year at Worthington Stadium. A new baseball facility adjacent to recently expanded Williams Stadium, home of Liberty football, and Osborne Stadium, home of both Liberty soccer and track & field programs, is set to open for the 2013 home opener. The construction of the new baseball facility is the latest dramatic improvement to athletics facilities at Liberty in recent years. The stadium could eventually seat up to 2,500 spectators and will enhance a developing athletics corridor at the University. The intercollegiate baseball stadium will replace Worthington Stadium, which has been the team's home since 1979. Liberty will close out its time at the complex this year with an eight-game homestand from April 24-May 13, highlighted by Big South Conference series against Coastal Carolina and High Point.
