BY THE NUMBERS Alex Hatz ran a 3:58.68 mile at the Tyson Invitational, the fastest in school history. 200 24.3 WOMEN'S HOCKEY With a goal in Sunday's 6-2 win over St. Cloud State, Brooke Ammerman became the fourth Badger to record 200 career points, joining Meghan Duggan, Sara Bauer and Hilary Knight. Knight, who scored six points Sunday, now has 255 in her career — the most in program history. MEN'S BASKETBALL In his last four meet- ings with Michigan State, senior Jordan Taylor has averaged 24.3 points, 4.0 re- bounds and 4.3 assists, including a season- high 28 points in a Jan. 3 meeting at the Kohl Center. MEN'S TRACK & FIELD Alex Hatz scored an impressive win in the mile at the Tyson Invitational, doing so in record time. The sophomore's time of 3 minutes, 58.68 seconds topped the Bad- gers' two-year-old school record in the event. After falling behind, 5-2, UW se- niors Aleksandra Markovic and Angela Chupa came back to take the next six games and defeat Sophie Nel- son and Christy Sipes, 8-5, in the deciding doubles match as part of the Badgers' 6-1 victory over No. 37 NC State. 3:58.68 6 WOMEN'S TENNIS 14 » VARSITY FEBRUARY 16, 2012
