Trips to Williams Arena have become homecoming events for the Badgers, who have made the most of mining talent like Berggren, Bruesewitz, Smith and Taylor from Minnesota

"We've spent a lot of time on the road together – 4 1/2 hours each way,'' Mike Bruesewitz said. Car-pooling has always been fashionable with the Minnesota contin-
gent on the UW roster: Leuer is from Orono, Taylor from Bloomington, Berggren from Princeton, and Bruesewitz from St. Paul. Leuer, of course, has since moved on to Milwaukee and the Bucks of
the NBA. Taking his place in the car pool has been freshman walk-on, Jordan Smith, who is fittingly another Orono product.
