Terriers devote much of their time to being active in the community. Besides hosting an annual Special Olympics aquatics competition with over 500 participants, they also volunteer at the American Cancer Society's "Making Strides against Breast Cancer Walk" and in the BU Athletic Department's holiday
reading program. Junior Tina Hoppe will serve as the president of the America East Conference Student-
Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), serving as the liaison between over 3,500 student-athletes and the league office and coordinating volunteer events.

women's swimming & diving programs boasted a perfect Graduation Success Rate (GSR) score of 100. In 2011, 35 Terriers were named to the America East Academic Honor Roll for having a GPA of 3.0 or higher, with 18 of them also earning Commissioner's Honor Roll accolades
for holding a GPA of 3.5 or higher. In the past two years, swimmers Bryon Kallert ('11) and Emily Munday ('10) received the top scholar-athlete award at BU.

CHAMPIONSHIP SUCCESS
Over the past six seasons, the Terriers have captured 54 individual titles at the America East Championships and earned three consecutive conference Most Outstanding Swimming awards and four straight Most Outstanding Diver honors on the men's side. Led by 2011 America East Most Outstanding Diver Melinda Matyas' 17th-place result in the platform diving event last season, BU has sent a total of six competitors to the NCAA Championships since 2008.
