nate duval and the art of Pratt & Lambert. As a premier paint brand that's preferred by many of the nation's top designers and architects, we always create an inspiring exhibition for the NeoCon® World's Trade Fair held annually in Chicago, IL. This year, we wanted to create something different to make an even bigger splash. And we were very excited about having the chance to commission Nate Duval, a very talented, up-and-coming screen printer and artist, to create a stunning original piece of artwork for the show. What attracted us to Nate is the fact that he uses Pratt & Lambert® Accolade® to create his artwork. He does this because it's high quality and mixed to the exact colors he wants to use. It also dries quickly, which saves him a ton of time. 4 P&L Color Expressions Nate was inspired by Pratt & Lambert's fresh new look, specifically the circle pattern found in many of its new branding elements, and he studied current trends to help determine the perfect color scheme. After scanning, layering and screening his drawing, Nate used a custom-built vacuum table to silk-screen the piece. Nate's artwork was hand pulled on the vacuum table using paint directly from a can, one color at a time, from lightest to darkest. Absolutely no additives were used in this process.
