Huff's 1,201 rebounds and 10.71 rebounds per game remain UW records. December 21, 1983 In the rafters
Theresa Huff's jersey became the first number retired in UW women's basketball history. The 5-foot-11 center played from 1979-83, which were transitional years from WWIAC competi- tion to Big Ten Conference play and included the changeover in national governance from the AIAW to the NCAA. She finished her four-year career at the UW with 30 school records, of which six were all-time men's and women's records.
December 19, 1998 THE HOST WITH THE MOST: Wisconsin hosted the finals of the 1998 NCAA Division 1 Volleyball Championships at the Kohl Center. Long Beach State won the national title by defeating Penn State, 3-2, and setting the single-match attendance record of 13,194.

December 20, 1954 LEADING SCORER: Dick Cable of the men's basketball team scored 31 points against Tulane to put himself on the Badgers' list of 30-point performers.
December 24, 1993 A HOLIDAY TO REMEMBER: The Wisconsin football team spent the holiday in Pasadena, Calif., preparing for the 1994 Rose Bowl Game against UCLA. The Badgers defeated UCLA, 21-16, in their first-ever win in a Jan. 1 bowl game.
