Jeff Sauer, with 489 wins in 20 seasons, and Bob Johnson, with 367 victories in 15 seasons, are the only Badger men's hockey coaches with more. FOOTBALL With Russell Wilson's three passing touchdowns and Montee Ball's four total scores last Saturday, Wisconsin became the first school in NCAA history to have a quarter- back-running back combo with 30 passing and 30 rushing touchdowns in the same season. Wilson has thrown for 31 TDs, while Ball has 32 rushing touchdowns among his 38 total scores on the year. 12 ยป VARSITY DECEMBER 8, 2011 WOMEN'S SWIMMING 1:00.18 44.5 MEN'S BASKETBALL Through their first eight games, the Badgers are off to a suffocating start on the defensive end, holding opponents to a nation-low 44.5 points per game. UW also ranks third in the nation in opponents' field goal percentage, limiting foes to just 33.0 percent shooting. Ashley Wanland finished the 100-yard breast stroke in 1:00.18 at the Texas Invita- tional. Her second- place time was one of three individual NCAA provisional quali- fying times that the Badgers posted at the elite competition last Friday.
