Over 80 children ages 4-14 attended Football IQ Academy annual soccer camp which consisted of indoor futsal, outdoor techni- cal training and competitive small sided games. TRiNiDaD aND TOBagO TRiNiDaD aND TOBagO During the week of December 15–19, 2014, Football IQ Academy (T&T Rush) hosted its annual soccer camp at The University School campus in St. Augus ne, Trinidad. "It was a tremendous learning experience for the players to be exposed to a diverse set of ac vi es all related to improving their playing performance," stated Camp Director, Caleb De Souza. This camp program was primarily based on the Brazilian skills and Dutch curriculum and adapted to suit the different playing levels. Many of the campers received prizes for their performance and posi ve behaviours. In addi on to the technical training, campers engaged in learning ac vi es, discussions and video presenta ons to reinforce their understanding of principles of the game. The camp management team was especially happy to see a significant increase in the number of female campers. "This year we made a special effort to encourage girls to a end our camp. This is in line with suppor ng the Trinidad and Tobago Football Associa on's mandate for local clubs to develop the female game," explained Caleb. Working with the children was a truly rewarding experience for the coaches as they were able to watch them grow and develop in a posi ve manner. Given the popularity and success of the camps, the technical team is exploring incorpora ng some of Rush's foreign coaches to add a different dimension to the camp. "I have already started discussions with our Technical Director, Brain Lux to expand the camp program and reach, which would help to develop Rush's brand locally," added Caleb. NeW PaRtNeRshiP With Rush socceR The afternoon of Friday, December 19 was an unforgettable day for our club, Promostars F.C. We had the pleasure of making the encounter of the year: Mr. Ramo Badohoun, Technical Director of Rush Africa. TOgO RUSh TOgO RUSh For more information about the togo Rush: www.africarush.com Indeed it was an excep onal mee ng since Mr. Ramo was returning from the USA to spend his holiday in Togo, his na ve country, and he wanted to donate sports equipment to a women's football team. A friend of his, recommended Promostars. He had the opportunity, during our introductory mee ng, to see our different boys, girls and adult teams. Soon he made a comparison with the Rush structure of the USA, which does the same thing as we do in Togo, but with more sophis cated resources. This mee ng led to the idea of a partnership so that we represent and convey RUSH exper se in Togo. In addi on to our mee ng, Mr. Ramo also visited our facili es at Agoe-Nyive; watched some matches, including a youth championship match between our U13 boys and Bouba Academy (we won 3-0), and he also coached several training sessions. The whole club, from the President to the last supporter, welcomed this marvelous event and the new partnership with Rush Soccer that will enable us to improve and contribute to the professionalism of Togolese football.
