ew might suspect Russell Wilson would have trouble "making the grade'' — surely a figure of
speech for an All-Big Ten quar- terback and someone who grad- uated from NC State in three years.
That phrase surely doesn't seem to have any application to Wilson unless Wilson is grading. "I go through the film and I al- ways grade myself every single week,'' he said. First, he will evaluate his physical execution and the tech- niques that he used to hand the ball to a running back or make a play-fake or throw a pass. "Did I do it right?'' he will ask of him- self.
Secondly, he will trace his decision-making. "I will think about how well we're doing (as a team) and the negative things that happened,'' he said, "and if I could have changed anything or if I did.''
