A season is not defined by one game, it's a journey highlighted by memorable moments over the course of five months. Although the University of Iowa men's basketball team lost in the NCAA Round of 32 to nationally ranked Gonzaga on March 22, there were a number of positives the team can reflect on. Head coach Fran McCaffery has rebuilt his fourth basketball program and has UI basketball back to national prominence. McCaffery has guided his Hawkeye teams to steady improvement each year since his arrival in 2010, which includes back- to-back NCAA Tournament appearances. e backbone of the 2015 Hawkeyes was its senior class comprised of Gabriel Olaseni, Josh Oglesby, Aaron White, and Kyle Denning. is group won more home games (59) than any other four- year class in program history, while its 85 total wins are seventh best. White, a first-team All-Big Ten and All- District selection, cemented himself as one of the best statistically in Hawkeye history, leaving his footprint all over the Hawkeye record books. Olaseni was a model of consistency off the bench and was rewarded for his efforts being named Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year. Oglesby finished his career with 146 3-point field goals, going down as one of Iowa's top long-range shooters in program history, while Denning led the scout team in practice to help the Hawkeyes prepare for opponents.
