The Badgers clinched the first of what would become consecutive Rose Bowl berths with a 24-3 victory over Penn State at Camp Randall Stadium. Wisconsin is 8-6 all-time versus the Nittany Lions, including a 5-3 record in Madison.
November 21, 1997 CHOPPING DOWN TREES: The women's basketball team earned a win over its highest-ranked opponent, defeating No. 4 Stanford, 90-82.
