Ron Dayne became the NCAA's all-time leading rusher in the Badgers' 41-3 win over Iowa at Camp Randall Stadium. Dayne rushed for 216 yards on 27 carries, breaking the record for- merly held by Texas' Ricky Williams on a 31-yard carry coming at the 4:32 mark of the sec- ond quarter. He finished with 6,397 career yards (bowls not included).
November 7, 1978 40 WINS: The women's volleyball team beat Carthage College and Carroll College en route to a 40-9-2 season record under head coach Kristi Conklin.
