F
or the first time in Wis- consin history, the Bad- gers have had two players record triple-doubles (dou- ble-figure statistics in three different categories) in the same season. Senior Janelle Gabrielsen and freshman Courtney Thomas have both achieved the amazing feat. Gabrielsen tallied her sec-

ond career triple-double at Duke on Aug. 27, totaling 11 kills, 20 assists and 12 digs. Thomas had her first career triple-double at Michigan State on Oct. 7, piling up a career-high 16 kills and 15 digs while adding 26 assists. They became just the third
and fourth Badgers to record triple-doubles.
Hickey is Big Ten's best » For most of this season, sopho- more Annemarie Hickey has led all Big Ten players in digs per set. The 5-foot-8 libero is averaging a career-best 4.75 digs per set, which is tops in the conference. Hickey has tallied double-figure digs in 23-of-24 matches this sea- son, including a career-high 33 digs at NC State on Sept. 2. Her season average of 4.75 digs per set would rank third on the UW season re- cord list.
Left side is the right side » For anyone who knows volley- ball, left-side hitters typically get the most kills for a team. That is certainly the case of the Badgers as freshman Ellen Chapman and junior Bailey Reshel have been the UW's top hitters the last three matches. The duo put away nearly a third of the Badgers' kills.
