ATHLETIC TRAINING Under the direction of head athletic trainer Marty Bradley, the athletic training program at Old Dominion University oversees the medical needs for all varsity sports. A variety of volunteer medical professionals, six certified full-time athletic trainers and eight certified graduate assistant athletic trainers work with athletes to prevent, treat and rehabilitate injuries. The facility features the latest in sport medicine technology, including ultrasound, electric muscle stimulation, cold laser, TENS, microcurrent and compression units, as well as traction table, treatment tables, taping stations and a variety of rehabilitation and cardiovascular equipment. The Athletic Training Department also has an on-site portable x-ray machine for use when needed in the care of Old Dominion University athletes.
