Badgers working hard to get noticed
Playing in a league that sent five of seven teams to the NCAA tournament last year, the Badgers are working hard to get noticed this season.

UW did just that with a 2-0 upset over then-No. 6 Indiana on Sunday. The Badgers handed the Hoosiers their first loss of the season in front of 1,150 fans at the McClimon Complex.

The victory over the Hoosiers was the first for UW since the 1995 season. That year, Wisconsin went on to earn its first and only NCAA title, shutting out all five opponents along the way.
Sunday’s win was just what the Badgers needed.

Going streaking
» With the win over Indiana, UW remains unbeaten in five consecutive games. After suffering three straight losses, UW rebounded with a win over Drake on Sept. 16 and hasn’t looked back, posting a 3-0-2 record in its last five games — all of which have come at home. The streak marks the team’s longest since the 2008 season.

Zadro helps out
» Junior Tomislav Zadro leads the Big Ten and ranks 18th nationally with five assists. His 0.50 assist per game average is also the best in the league. The junior midfielder has scored at least one point in each of Wisconsin’s last eight games and leads the team with 11 points. He scored the game-winning goal in UW’s victory over Indiana, marking his first game-winner and third goal of the season.
