Besides hosting an annual "Skating Strides against Breast Cancer" fundraiser, they also host clinics, connect with children after home games and participate in the BU Athletic Department's holiday reading program. In August, the Terriers had three representatives at the International Ice Hockey Federation Twelve Nations tournament. Senior Kasey Boucher played for the United States, while senior Jenn Wakefield and recent graduate Catherine Ward competed for Canada. During the 2010 Winter Olympics, Canadians Ward and sophomore Marie-Philip Poulin (right) captured the gold medal in Vancouver. SUCCESS OFF THE ICE COACH DUROCHER ON BU Seventh-year head coach and BU alum Brian Durocher ('78) shares his thoughts on the growth of the program and why he feels so passionate about Boston University. MARIE-PHILIP POULIN 2011-12 ROSTER 2011-12 SCHEDULE The coaching staff prides itself in developing well-rounded student-athletes who apply themselves in the classroom and develop skill sets that will help them after graduation. This past season, seven Terriers were named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team. Graduate student Catherine Ward received the Gretchen Schyler award as the school's top female scholar-athlete in 2010-11. Above (l to r): Caroline Bourdeau (2009), Sarah Appleton (2010) and Holly Lorms (2011) earned the last three John B. Simpson Awards for demonstrating exemplary leadership and enthusiasm.
