Executive Director's Report

December is a great time to reflect back on the year to
celebrate successes and plan for the future. For 2014, the
SCTP and SPP once again had growth in numbers across the
board in terms of teams, athletes, coaches, and shoot
attendance. This growth, of course, all happens at the local
level through the dedication of our coaches! THANK YOU for
all of your hard work and time given to support our youth in
the shooting sports.
It's hard to believe another year is about to pass and the
holiday season is upon us. At SSSF, we are fortunate to have
such great support from our extended Scholastic Clay Target
and Scholastic Pistol Program families from all around the
country. Speaking of support – this issue of Inside SSSF is full of
information, tips, and articles from shooting sports industry
members who support your sport. Please consider supporting
them in return.
We are happy to report the SSSF has supported over 280 SCTP
and SPP teams across 40 states in 2014 through donations to
MidwayUSA Foundation endowment accounts. Total
donations for the year came to about $1.8 million. Be
watching our Range Time newsletter for more ways SCTP and
SPP teams may earn SSSF team endowment funds in 2015.

to do to pass the time between now and reasonable shooting
weather. Consider reloading! Check out the articles and

For athletes looking for inspiration in 2015, check out the
success stories of four SCTP athletes who achieved U.S.
National Team status through the SCTP International
Championships. Speaking of championships, please
remember to save the dates for the 2015 SSSF National
Championships in Sparta, IL for July 13-18. We look forward to
an even bigger and better "ultimate shooting sports party" in
