New Men's Hockey Coach
David Berard emphasizes
team culture

he men's hockey team had been back on campus only a few days,
and already new Head Coach David Berard was making an impression.
Berard, who was hired in June, had been in touch with his players
during the summer, but now they were all on campus, ready to start a
new year. Things were going to be different, he knew, and he wanted his
players to know that as well.
He challenged the team in their opening meeting, saying: "I don't want you
to dip your toe in and be conservative, I want you to jump in with both feet.
I want you to be fully invested and fully committed. That's the only way to
unlock our potential as a team and as players."
