That was the path that quarterback Russell Wilson took to the Wisconsin football program. Moreover, he was named the Big Ten's Offensive Player of the Week after his first appearance with the Badgers.
UW men's cross country coach Mick Byrne cautioned against connecting the dots between football and his sport -- between Wilson and Ryan Collins, who will be joining Byrne's team this season.
But some of the similarities are too striking to ignore.
