The last me the University of Iowa cross country team hosted the Big Ten Cham-
pionship — on Oct. 31, 2004 — Micah VanDenend paced the squad, finishing 14th
overall with a me of 24:39 en route to second-team All-Big Ten honors. The Hawk-
eye men finished the meet in third place with 110 points. Iowa hosted the Big Ten
Championships a decade later Nov. 2 at Ashton Cross Country Course.
