AMUKAMARA TURNER THORNE BRUNNER CHARLI TURNER THORNE Head Coach • 18th Year at Arizona State Alma Mater: Stanford, 1988 325-207 (.611) at Arizona State • Overall: 365-247 (.596, 20 Years) The winningest coach in Sun Devil history ... Ranks second overall in wins among all-time Pac-12 coaches with 325 wins ... One of just three coaches in Pac-12 history to have led their teams to five or more consecutive 20-win seasons ... Guided ASU to the postseason 14 of the last 15 years including nine NCAA Tournament appearances, advancing to the NCAA Elite Eight twice during that stretch ... led the USA World University Games team to a gold medal at the 2009 World University Games. ARIZONA STATE SUN DEVILS TEAM OUTLOOK • After being picked to finish 10th by the Pac-12 coaches, the Sun Devils found their way back to the NCAA Tournament after a three-year abscence, advancing to the second round, finishing fourth in the Conference standings. • ASU's success was due, in large part, to its improvement in overall scoring. The Sun Devils 11.0 points per game better than the 2012-13 campaign when Arizona State placed ninth in the league and won just 13 games. The team also had balanced scoring, with five players averaging at least 7.0 ppg. • However, Arizona State will have some voids to fill if it is to replicate last year's successes. Leading scorer and floor leader Deja Mann has graduated. She was the only one on the team to average double-digit scoring and an All-Pac-12 performer, while Adrianne Thomas, also a mainstay in the lineup and the team's second-leading scorer, also graduated. • ASU has three starters returning, including senior guard Promise Amukamara, an All-Defensive team hon- oree. Additionally, sophomores Sophie Brunner and Kelsey Moos, honorable mention Pac-12 All-Freshman team honorees, had impactful seasons as freshmen, each starting the majority of games. • Head coach Charli Turner Thorne also landed a highly-touted recruit for 2014-15. A top-100 player, fresh- man center Ayanna Edwards brings with her 6-foot-4 frame which brings a different dimension to a defense that has been an ASU women's basketball staple, giving opponents problems once play officially begins. 2014-15 ARIZONA STATE ROSTER
