“I don’t know if I could compare it to anything I’ve been around,” Taylor said. Was he talking about the night game atmosphere at the Camp where the Badgers knocked off their first No. 1-ranked opponent since 1981 when they upset Michigan in the season opener? Or was he talking about the game day atmosphere at the Kohl where the Badgers knocked off their first No. 1-ranked opponent since 1962 when they upset Ohio State at the Field House?

“Both games were pretty special,” Taylor said. “They were different atmospheres in different ways. But they were both energized and once in a lifetime type of things.”
Maybe it was a coincidence, or maybe it was fate, but the entire UW basketball team was introduced to the sellout throng at Camp Randall Stadium on the night of Oct. 16, 2010.
“And some of us rushed the field afterward – me, Jon Leuer and Tim Jarmusz,” Taylor said. “We kind of stood off to the side and congratulated some of the guys as they walked up the tunnel.”
Not only did Taylor room with UW tight end Jake Byrne, but he was familiar with a number of other football play- ers, including quarterback Scott Tolzien, who lived in the same apartment building.
