7 By the NUMBERS 8 Events the University of Iowa track and field program qualified for the NCAA Champion- ships that will be held June 11-14 in Eugene, Oregon. 221 New UI head soccer coach Dave DiIanni has amassed 221 victories and won three national championships in 11 seasons as a collegiate head coach at NCAA Division II Grand Valley State. DiIanni becomes the fifth head coach in Iowa soccer history. 12 The University of Iowa women's basketball team is ranked 12th in espnW.com's 2014-15 preseason top-25. The Hawkeyes are coming off a 27-win season in which they made their Big Ten-leading seventh-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. 3 Hawkeye men's golf senior Steven Ihm was named first-team All-Big Ten this season, be- coming the first Hawkeye in program history to earn three career All-Big Ten honors. 25 Junior Jake Yacinich stole 25 bases for the UI baseball team in 2014. The steal total is tied for the 11 th -most in a single season in school history. Yacinich was also named first- team All-Big Ten, the first Hawkeye to earn the distinction since 2009. 79 Larry Wieczorek coached 79 Big Ten track & field champions during his tenure at the University of Iowa. 6 Six members of the University of Iowa rowing team earned Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association recognition on May 27. 53 Home wins by the UI men's basketball senior class (Melsahn Basabe, Devyn Marble, Zach McCabe, Darius Stokes) during their career. The 53 victories tie for fourth in pro- gram history.
