success at every level
BU athletes have fared well at every level of competition, with top-10 finishes at the
NCAA Championships and conference championships in recent years. In 2013, Terrier
athletes earned six All-America selections, including three by Katie Matthews. Eight
different Terriers competed at an NCAA meet in 2013, spanning sprint, mid-distance,
distance and field events. While unable to compete in a conference championship
in 2013, BU made an immediate impact in its first season at the Patriot League
Championships. The women's team won its 13th conference crown by a margin of 80
points thanks to victories in seven different events and the men's team posted three
first-place finishes, including two by Rich Peters, who was named Male Track Athlete
of the Meet. The Terriers have also set 15 different school records since 2011.
