2 3 University of Wisconsin Athletics 2013-14 Marketing Team of the Year Submission At a previous NACMA Conven on, a representa ve from Disney was a featured presenter at a roundtable session. To paraphrase, the presenter asked the group, "How many of your Athle c Department employees are on the marke ng staff?" A endees of the session began answering the ques on. "We have two full- me staff members and a GA." "I have four full- me staff, two part- me staff, and seven interns." "It's just me and a volunteer!" This went on as several others answered un l the presenter stopped and said something to the effect of "If you want to be successful, EVERY employee be er be on the marke ng staff." During the process of preparing our entry for considera on, this comment rings true in so many ways. The ideas, concepts and programs detailed in this report simply are not successful and in many cases do not even become reality without the support of the staff and coaches we work with every single day. These individuals and others have all played key roles in many of the efforts detailed in this report.
