UW began the season at No. 3 in the polls, got as high as No. 2, but then dropped into the teens through early January. They have now climbed back into the top five as this week's fifth-ranked team in both major polls and the Pairwise Rankings, which mimic the NCAA selection process. BY THE NUMBERS WOMEN'S HOCKEY Senior Alex Rigsby has 99 career wins and only needs one more victory to become the third goaltender in NCAA history to tally 100 career triumphs. 21 MEN'S BASKETBALL Wisconsin has clinched a top-four finish in the Big Ten standings for the 13th-con- secutive season, equaling the Big Ten record held by Purdue (1920-32). UW also secured a first-round bye for the Big Ten tournament. 5 MEN'S TRACK Wisconsin erased a 21-point deficit to Nebraska over the final four events of the 2014 Big Ten Indoor Championships last Sunday to win the conference title for a second-consecutive season by a margin of 4.5 points over the Cornhuskers. The Bad- gers got a win from Michael Lihrman in the weight throw, a runner-up per2formance from Collin Taylor in the high jump and a 1-2-3 finish from Mohammed Ahmed, Reed Connor and Malachy Schrobilgen in the 5000 meters. 13 ›› ›› ›› 99
