MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS Gree ngs from Wisconsin Athle cs! Thank you for your interest in suppor ng Wisconsin Athle cs and Badger student-athletes. Annual contribu ons and generous gi s to the Wisconsin Athle c Department make it possible for our student-athletes to compete at the highest levels in academics, athle cs and in the community. It is an exci ng me to be part of the Badger family, and we are extremely proud of the success our student-athletes and teams have achieved in recent years. The success has been achieved in large part due to the con nued generosity of donors, season cket holders, alumni and friends who annually support Wisconsin Athle cs. With increasing opera onal costs and fluctua ng revenue streams, managing a 23-sport program with more than 800 student-athletes is a daun ng task. Our self- sustaining department is challenged each year with genera ng revenue to provide the funding needed to support our programs. Now, more than ever, we need and appreciate your help to meet immediate funding needs with a contribu on to Wisconsin Athle cs. As you read through this donor guide and consider making a gi , please know your support is appreciated and truly makes an impact on the lives of Badger student-athletes who represent our great university. THE ROAD TO CHAMPIONSHIPS STARTS WITH YOU! If you have any ques ons, please contact the Wisconsin Athle c Development Office at (608) 262-1000 or development@uwbadgers.com. You can also find more informa on at SupportTheBadgers.org. Thank you for your considera on and generosity. On, Wisconsin! Barry Alvarez Director of Athle cs [4]
