To develop and direct activities that enrich the profession of engineering through
the full participation of women
WIEP can partner on proposals to develop and implement STEM curriculum and assess
elements of pre-college outreach. WIEP will work with faculty to integrate research content
into signature programs such as:
• Imagination, Innovation, Discovery, and Design (I2D2) after-school academic
year program for K-5th grade
• Innovation 2 Reality (I2R) free after-school engineering program for
6th to 8th graders
• Engineering FYI: For Your Imagination free one-day, on-campus event for
7th to 9th graders
• Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day free one-day, on-campus event for
early high schoolers
