Journal Class Notes ALUMNI 05 Lance Malburg BA has accepted the position of assistant principal of Meadows Elementary in Fort Hood, Texas. Daniel Monnin MBA was matched to a man with acute myloid leukemia. Daniel donated bone marrow and stem cells to him in 2010 and Tcells in 2012. Daniel's father died of acute myloid leukemia in 2009. The gentleman who received Daniel's gift is alive and enjoying his first grandson. Daniel's own son was born four month's after his father's death. "I believe my dad would have been proud of me and thrilled that this man has been able live to see his first grandson," Daniel writes. Aidan Rogers has released her second book, Unfolded Hands: Rejecting Ritual and Returning to Prayer. The book invites readers to pray the way their hearts already want to by taking a closer look at the powerful prayer in the Bible and the way God responds to his people. Unfolded Hands is available at Amazon.com and for Kindle. Kristin (Hillery) Sullivan BA is an acute care coordinator at Bridgeway, Inc., in Galesburg, Ill. She assists noninsure individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness in accessing resources and services. She also welcomed a son, Liam Reese, on July 7, 2012. He weighed 9 lbs. 5 oz. 06 Gina Shaner BA completed her Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies degree at Asbury Theological Seminary in January 2012. She married Dan Raul Farcas Aug. 17, 2013. She is the financial aid coordinator at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky., and is also working alongside Jessica Zerkle for Global Bazaar, a non-profit fair-trade business/ ministry. 10 Gail Brant BA has won the title of Senior Poet Laureate for the State of Indiana for the third consecutive year. Gail received the ANDERSON UNIVERSITY Alumni Quarterly, Winter 2014 honor after her poem "Time" won the 21st Senior Poets Contest. Her poem will be printed in an anthology featuring the winning poems of poets ages 50 and over representing 43 states and the District of Columbia. CHRISTIAN MUSIC BROADCASTERS MOMENTUM 2013 School of Theology 80 Philip Buckle MA has served as a music minister for 12 years and taught second grade for 15. He is chairman of the board at his church and participates in the leadership of the men's ministry. He also writes, "My daughter has Down's Syndrome and is a blessing." 87 Steven Kufledt BA '84, MDiv began a new ministry in November as the associate pastor of the Hoodview Church of God in Woodburn, Ore. Hoodview Church of God is the oldest Church of God congregation in Oregon. Anderson University was well represented at Christian Music Broadcasters Momentum 2013 in Orlando in September.
