Fighting Irish Digital Media (FIDM) tells
the story of Notre Dame through the lens
of athletics, and builds fan loyalty through
a virtual connection. FIDM is now pushing
industry standards in technology and fan
engagement, and proactively delivering
live and on-demand media to Notre Dame
enthusiasts worldwide via TV, computer,
and mobile.

partnered with University Multimedia,
University Archives, and the Office
of Information Technology to build a

pictures for academic, research, athletic, and
other purposes—past, present, and future—

FIDM currently provides video for over
70 video board events each year in Purcell
Pavilion and Compton Family
Ice Arena, and this year is
streaming events and videoon-demand to its new mobile
video player WatchND as well
as hockey games for NBC to
NBCSports.com. With these
enhanced archiving capabilities
and continuous updates in
interconnectivity, the Notre
Dame family will be able to
watch and enjoy live broadcasts,
news, features, and highlights—
in digital, online form.
