INSIDE MEN'S HOCKEY BY PAUL CAPOBIANCO Home, Sweet Home Badgers look to take advantage of unprecedented two-month homestand he scheduling quirks continue for Wisconsin's 2013–14 inugural season in the Big Ten. After three byes in five weeks, Wisconsin gets a huge opportunity with 12 consecutive games at the Kohl Center. Beginning this weekend with UW's inaugural home Big Ten series against Penn State, the Badgers go over two months without leaving Madison, Wis., to play games. The 12-game regularseason homestand is the longest in school history. In both the 1982–83 and 1983–84 seasons, the Badgers played 10 consecutive home games for the previous long home T 50 // VARSITY December 5, 2013 stretches. The Badgers actually played 13-straight home games from Nov. 25, 1983, through Jan. 7, 1984, but three of those 13 games were exhibition contests, including one game against the West German Nationals and two games against the U.S. National Team before the 1984 Olympics. The Badgers went 9-1-0 during it's 10-game string in 1982– 83 and 6-4-0 in the 10-game stretch during the 1983–84 campaign. TV COVERAGE EXPANDS ● The Badgers announced the addition of eight live televised contests on Fox @BADGERMHOCKEY SCHEDULE (4-5-1, 0-2-0-0) LAST TIME OUT Nov. 29 at Minnesota Nov. 30 at Minnesota L, 4-1 L, 4-3 COMING UP Friday Penn State 7 p.m. SaturdayPenn State 8 p.m. Dec. 13 Colorado College 6:30 p.m. Dec. 14 Colorado College 7 p.m. Sports Wisconsin. Seven of those eight games will air on Fox Sports Wisconsin's alternate channel. The games will also be available on the BTN2Go mobile app and online at BTN2Go. com. Tape-delayed broadcasts of each game will air on Wisconsin Channel that same night, with a concurrent delayed stream at The Badgers will now have 24 of its regular-season games live on TV, including 19 of their remaining 24 games. BTN will also air the 2014 Big Ten Tournament live from St. Paul, Minn.
