The main piece is powerful inside presence in junior transfer Michala Johnson, who is averaging a double-double. JOHNSON AVERAGES DOUBLE-DOUBLE ● Junior transfer Michala Johnson leads the Badgers with 16.3 points and 10 rebounds per game this season. She is also shooting 57.5 percent (23-of-40) from the field. The 6-3 transfer from Connecticut recorded her first career double-double with a then-career-high 16 points and a career-high 16 rebounds against Drake. She also added a double-double against Northern Illinois with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Johnson upped her career high in scoring to 21 points, leading the Badgers over Milwaukee. ALL-AROUND IMPROVEMENT ● Wisconsin has won its first three games by an average of 23.7 points and is averaging 74 points per game, an improvement of 16 points per game from last season's scoring average. The Badgers are also averaging 49.3 rebounds per game, which leads the Big Ten, upping last season's average by 12.4 boards per game. UW averaged 18.4 turnovers per game in 2012-13 but that has turned around dramatically as the Badgers average just 11.3 giveaways per game this season, a Big Ten best.
