ASK THE BADGERS
QUESTION OF THE WEEK:
''
What's your favorite memory from Wisconsin and
Minnesota's battles for Paul Bunyan's Axe?
JOEL STAVE // SOPHOMORE // QUARTERBACK
"I really liked the game in Minnesota (in 2005) with the blocked
punt. That was a really fun game to watch. But also the two
games that I've been able to be a part of have been fun,
especially since we've come away with the Axe both times."
RYAN GROY // SENIOR // OFFENSIVE LINE
"I would say being able to run around with the Axe last year.
When I was younger and we won it, I didn't feel I had earned
the respect to run around with it and chop at the goal posts.
Last year, I felt it was my turn to grab it."
CHRIS BORLAND // SENIOR // LINEBACKER
"When Jonathan Casillas blocked the punt and Strick (current UW
assistant coach Ben Strickland) recovered it to win the game (in
2005). That's an easy one. That was an incredible finish and is
definitely my favorite. To win the Axe that way was incredible."
JARED ABBREDERIS // SENIOR // WIDE RECEIVER
"It's great to just have the opportunity to play in the
rivalry. My first year playing (in 2010), I scored my first
touchdown, so that's definitely my favorite moment."
