Move on quickly to the next section. Overlap the cut-in areas. Trim Use a 1" or 2" angle brush to coat window and door frames, sashes, moldings and woodwork. Clean Up Use soap and warm water to clean latex paint from your brushes and rollers. Oil or alkyd paints can be cleaned using turpentine or paint thinner. Use these solvents in a wellventilated area. Follow manufacturer's safety recommendations when using solvents. Set brushes and rollers to dry thoroughly in a position where the bristles and nap won't be flattened. Remove masking tape between 1 and 2 hours after painting, pulling slowly away from the surface at a 45° angle. If the paint begins to lift with the tape, use a razor blade along the edge.
