s Bo Ryan enters his 13th
season at the helm of
Wisconsin basketball, he
does so with a roster as young
as any in his UW tenure. Opportunity knocks in 2013-14
for a team that also might be
as deep as any Ryan has seen.
"There are a lot of question
marks this year," Ryan said last
week. "Will youth be served,
or will the youth get served?

VARSITY October 24, 2013
I don't know, but I like this
group. They're working hard
and they want to be great.
We'll have to wait and see."
You don't have to wait much
longer. Fans' first chance to
see the 2013-14 Badgers is
this Saturday, Oct. 26, for the
free annual Red/White Scrimmage, which is sponsored by
the University Book Store.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m.
and must-see player introductions will
begin at 5 p.m."
In addition to watching the on-court
action, fans will have the opportunity to
meet the Badgers players and coaches
during a postgame team autograph session. The 2013-14 team poster, courtesy
of UW Credit Union, will also be available
free of charge.
Saturday's Red/White Scrimmage will
mark the return of junior guard Josh Gasser, who missed all of the 2012-13 season with a knee injury.
The Badgers' highly-touted six-man
freshman class will also make its Kohl
Center debut, including Wisconsin native Bronson Koenig and big men Nigel
Hayes and Vitto Brown.
UW also returns a host of players, including Sam Dekker, Ben Brust, Frank
Kaminsky, Traevon Jackson and George
Marshall, who are all poised to step into
the spotlight vacated by last year's senior class.
