Back at home: Badgers
begin six-game homestand
Wisconsin hosts St. Cloud State at LaBahn Arena
fter its first road series
of the 2013-14 season,
the Badgers return
home for a month, playing
three series at LaBahn Arena
against St. Cloud State, Lindenwood and Ohio State before a
bye weekend on Nov. 9-10.
UW head coach Mark Johnson believes the homestand
comes at a great time for the

"It gives the younger players
an opportunity as they continue to settle into college," Johnson said. "Certainly having six
home games, if you're successful, it bodes well because then
you have a bye weekend after
that and have an opportunity
to do some things on the practice sheet you may not do on
the week where you're preparing for a game."

Many Badgers are excited to come
back home after a disappointing series
loss at Minnesota.
"I think it will exciting to get back on
our home ice and get a good crowd out
at LaBahn," freshman defenseman Jenny
Ryan said. "We want to show everyone
what we have. We are disappointed with
our losses at Minnesota, but we have to
keep moving forward and not dwell on
the past."
The homestand and upcoming bye
week comes at a great time for UW, as
following the homestand the Badgers hit
the road for games in Vail, Colo., against
Boston University and Northeastern. After its trip to the Rockies, UW travels to
Grank Forks, N.D., to face No. 6 North Dakota and Duluth, Minn., to take on Minnesota Duluth. The Badgers close out
the first half of their season at home with
a series against Bemidji State on Dec. 6
and 8.
