Nate Kaeding did a David Letterman impression as keynote speaker of this year's Kinnick
Society dinner Sept. 20 when he offered his and former Hawkeye Dallas Clark's "Top 6
reasons to move back to Iowa after completing your NFL career," a list the former AllAmericans conceived while on RAGBRAI and before Clark took the Baltimore Ravens up
on their offer to continue his career. The list was both thoughtful — with high praise and
admiration for Kirk Ferentz, and the people and the "layers of community" of the state
of Iowa — and candid — with higher praise for the tailgating prowess of Hawkeye fans.
You may be surprised what ranked No. 2 on that list: Free baby-sitting from grandma and
